Our focus is bulldogs and Special Needs, so we recently took in poor senior boy, Wylie, who had a horrendous malignant testicular tumor removed - and our newest member is cleftie pup Earl Treble Grey, surrendered by his breeder at just one day old! He will need to be tube fed for the next month to ensure he gets the right nutrients and limit the risk of aspiration.
We currently have 33 dogs - ranging from Wylie and Earl, to long-term foster Monty, who has hydrocephalus. In general, ones with the health issues are the most expensive. Monty costs $300 a month in meds, Tabitha, the Neo mastiff just had a $900 eye, surgery, and we just paid around $4k in vet bills. Right now, we also have FOUR dogs with 'attitude' issues that are with specialized behavioral trainers. This will cost us around $1500 PER DOG. Yes, it's a huge amount but I feel it's our responsibility to make them as adoptable as possible. I've heard of dogs being stuck away in kennel boarding for MONTHS, even years because no foster or forever home can be found! We owe it to our rescues not to let that happen.
Road Dogs & Rescue is based in Los Angeles but YOU, our supporters come from all over the country - and the world - because you believe in our message of 'Every life deserves a chance' and our mission of spreading compassion.
We are a small rescue with a big heart so please help us reach this fundraising goal. We need you!
Thank you so much for caring.

Please help Road Dogs & Rescue continue to transform lives!
Right now we are dealing with four dogs fighting nasty Upper Respiratory Infections, Shimmy the old Chi, Winnie the old Frenchie, Molly Myrtle and our Special Needs Frenchie puppy, Boss Swagger. As if having a cleft palate and hydrocephalus aren't enough to deal with!
