Jack is only 2 years old, he can recover from this kind of injury and still have many enjoyable years ahead of him. 

Jack was picked up as a stray after being hit by a car, he is suffering from a broken a broken femur and needs immediate medical treatments.

We stepped up to help after Jack was pulled from Harris County by another rescue. It turned out that Jack ended up having severe injuries; a broken pelvis and two badly broken hind legs. The rescue that Jack just came from was able to provide Jack with a loving foster family; he has made huge health improvements while in their care. When Jack was first pulled out of the shelter,  he was severely under weight and needed to regain his strength. His foster family provided so much love for Jack that his spirit has mended before his legs could!

Luckily for Jack, he is able to stay with his foster parents and in their loving arms even though he is going to be cared for by a different rescue. Jack must really have an angel on his shoulder--not only has he survived all of the trauma to his body, he has now been offered top notch care by an amazing surgeon for a fraction of the price. Sometimes rescues have to work together for the good of the animal, and luckily for Jack, he gets to stay in the comfort of his new home, with the people he loves the most. 

We have set an emergency surgery date with one of our wonderful local vets for this Thursday.

The only reason we are able to help is because he has the most amazing devoted fosters who will adopt him when he is healthy and we were able to obtain the surgery for $3000 vs the quoted $8k from another specialist clinic.
