After hearing about this, Urgent Animals of Fort Worth immediately set out to save Kanga and give him the care that his previous owner never did. After vet consultation, it was determined that Kanga had fallen from an incredibly high distance and suffered major breaks to both his front legs. Without the proper medical attention afterward, Kanga's legs healed improperly, causing him great pain while walking. His ligaments were also damaged, causing his legs to flex down to the floor. Without surgery, Kanga's condition will worsen and cause him even more pain than he's already in. The procedure itself is no walk in the park either. It would last over half a day and would include cutting his bones, cleaning out the damaged ligaments, fusing the bones, and then plating his legs. The recovery time will be extensive, but there isn't any other option.
Please consider donating towards Kanga's medical expenses today, or send him a loving gift from his wishlist to show him that he is loved. We will keep everyone as updated as possible on his condition, but for now, please just support this precious animal.

When sweet Kanga came into the shelter with abnormally shaped front legs and an unstable gait, his rescuers knew something was wrong. He was also incredibly malnourished, weighing only 18 pounds.
To AC's surprise, Kanga was microchipped and they were able to get in contact with Kanga's owner, who knew he was sitting alone and in pain at the shelter. Did his owner come and get him though? No. Kanga's owner refused to reveal any information and hung up. He denied all future calls as well, making it well known that he couldn't have cared less about Kanga.
