Jerry came from an extremely abusive home in Tijuana and you could see the fear in his eyes. He was battered, terrified, and totally despondent.
When he arrived he was a young pup with stitches, an infection, and had multiple other inflicted wounds. He had lost hope in the kindness of humans. He was spooked by people and wouldn't walk, stand up, or eat if we were in close proximity to him.
After 6 weeks of showering him with love and care he finally began to come out of his shell and he thrived! He was playing with toys and cuddling with us and things were looking up for Jerry.
Until he became super lethargic so we brought him in to the vet and they found that his lungs were filled with fluid. The vet diagnosed him with Pyothorax, which is a bacterial infection in his lungs and chest cavity. They will have to insert a chest tube to help him breathe and at 6 months old he is already fighting for his life.
Jerry deserves to live a long fulfilling life filled with the love and care of a forever home. Please consider donating to Jerry or gifting him something special off of his wishlist! Thank you.
