Thankfully, Lydia was saved before something horrible could have happened, and is now being cared for by Auction For a Kaws Rescue. When she was initially brought to the vet, doctors were shocked by her condition. She was missing fur all over, she had huge mammary tumors, was covered in fleas, has KCS, her eyes are as hard as rocks and she will never be able to see again. Also, the walls of the inside of her ears have thickened because she had infections that went untreated for so long. This all could have been prevented had someone cared about her just a little bit.
Despite everything, Lydia is just as happy and sweet as can be. Likely because she's never received this much love and care in her entire life. If you can, please consider donating towards her much needed, and ongoing care. Her road to recovery is not a short one, and she could really use some extra help. Thank you.

There is truly no excuse for the condition that Lydia was found in. To whomever allowed her to suffer in this condition for so long, shame on you. It's difficult to imagine how scared she must have been wandering alone on the side of the freeway, completely disoriented due to being blind and deaf, and then we remember that someone allowed this to happen.
